Canon EOS R5C Looks Different from R5 in Monitor and EVF

The Canon EOS R5C is a video-oriented version of the Canon EOS R5 with a number of upgrades – including unlimited 8K30P recording in Cinema RAW Light, an active cooling system for “unlimited 8K 30p”, the 21-pin Mult-Function Shoe debuted on the Canon EOS R3, a full-size HDMI port and the Canon Log 2 profile.

According to Canon Rumors, the Canon EOS R5C is about 90% physically the same as the EOS R5. It looks like the LCD monitor, EVF, and terminals are different. Still specs will be the same as R5.

So, the relationship between EOS R5 and R5C seems to be close to the relationship between Panasonic S1 and S1H. The difference between the LCD monitor and EVF has been pointed out, but I’m wondering if there is a difference in the specifications etc. .. Also, the still specs are the same as the R5, so it doesn’t seem to be mechanical shutterless.

The official announcements are scheduled for January 19, 2022, at 07:00 EST / 12:00 GMT / 23:00 AEST.
