Canon EOS R5 vs EOS R Comparison Review – Fine Art Ballet Photoshoot

The portrait photographer Nicole Carson Bonilla compared the Canon EOS R5 against the Canon EOS R for a test drive in my portrait studio for a fine art ballet photoshoot. Really excellent review! Check it out!

I took the Canon EOS R5 for a test drive in my portrait studio for a fine art ballet photoshoot. In this video I’ll show you how I styled, photographed and edited portraits of a ballerina taken with both the Canon EOS R5 and EOS R. I include tight crops of photos taken with both cameras for you to review and decide for yourself which ones look better. Then I’ll share my conclusion regarding the Canon EOS R5 as a studio portrait camera.

I used my Canon EF 50mm 1.2 lens on my Canon EOS R and the RF 24-105mm f/4-7.1 on the Canon EOS R5 for the comparison.

I styled my ballerina in a gold colored corset I made from a round table cloth I purchased from my local thrift store Goodwill. I combined it with a throw skirt I made from sheer curtains and gold colored bed sheets I also purchased from Goodwill. I simply hot glued some artificial flowers to metal alligator clips to use in her hair.
