Canon has filed a new patent for RF 24-70mm f/2.8L USM lens in Japan, which has very similar specs as the RF 28-70mm f/2L USM lens.

This Canon RF 24-70mm f/2.8L USM Lens is expected to be announced sometime in 2019, probably at CP+ 2019 in February.
