More Information about Canon EOS R5 in Stock Concerns

Two days ago the Canon Online Store listed the Canon EOS R5 in stock (we have reported it), but it seems that this is NOT true. Our reader George sent a message to us and this is just a marketing strategy.

I went at Canon online store, yesterday, and the site said that the R5 is in stock, with 2 day free shipping.
I ordered it and immediately I have got 2 emails. The first one said that the R5 is on back order and they will let me know when will be available.
The second email had the order details and also it mentioned that the Canon R5 is on back order.
I called Canon, and after 40 minutes on the phone I was able to cancel my order. I think this is a Canon gimmick to get more orders online, on which they charge your credit card immediately.

Canon R5 preorders were very strong and Canon’s deliveries to US retailers have been extremely limited. Currently, the Canon EOS R5 is out of stock everywhere and we won’t get any more Canon EOS R5 in large volumes until October 20, 2020.
