Canon to Announce New RF Super Telephoto Lens Soon?

Rumors are swirling that Canon’s design team is hard at work on new “big white” lenses ranging from the RF 200-500mm f/4L 1.4x to the RF 500mm f/4L IS USM, plus the potential for an RF 600mm f/11 and RF 800mm f/11. Canon has even admitted to the possibility of more lenses being developed in the future. The juicy news is that a highly sought-after super telephoto lens is set to get a RF mount and a fresh design, although the specifics have yet to be revealed. Will we find out in the coming month or two what this exciting new lens is? Only time will tell.

It’s anyone’s guess, but we’d wager both the EF 200-400mm f/4L IS 1.4x and the EF 500mm f/4L IS USM II will be needing RF equivalents in the near future.

Save the date: On January 30th, Canon will unveil their financial report and CP+ 2023 will be happening from February 23rd to 26th – so don’t miss out! Keep your eyes open for further news and updates!
