Canon to Announce a New EOS R Camera That No One is Expecting

In addition to the upcoming Canon EOS 90D DSLR, EOS M5 Mark II / EOS M6 Mark II Mirrorless, Canon will also announce a new EOS R camera in 2019 that is a “head scratcher” and no one is expecting. Currently we have no idea what this new Canon EOS R mirrorless will be… What sort of niche market do you think could benefit the Canon EOS R?

And here is the Canon roadmap for 2019:

  • Canon EOS 90D: to be announced at the end of August 2019.
  • Canon EOS M5 Mark II / EOS M6 Mark II: It has been described to use as “very well specced” and “aggressively price”, to be announced along with Canon EOS 90D.
  • Several New Canon EOS R Mirrorless bodies.
  • At Least 5 Canon RF mount lenses.
