Canon EOS R6 Mark II to be Announced by the end of 2022

The upcoming Canon EOS R6 Mark II mirrorless camera is already in testing and it is rumored to be announced by the end of 2022, but I don’t know exactly when it will be announced. We also don’t know when the EOS R6 Mark II will ship.

Here are the rumored specifications of the Canon EOS R6 Mark II:

  • 24MP Full-frame CMOS Sensor
  • Dual Pixel RAW / RAW burst
  • Dual Pixel CMOS AF
  • In-body stabilization
  • Digital Tele-Converter
  • 12fps Mechanical
  • Hybrid Auto
  • 4K 30p (No Crop)
  • 4K 60p (Cropped. The EOS R6 is a 1.1x crop)
  • Canon Log 3/HDR PQ
  • Cloud RAW processing
  • RF/RF-S Lenses
  • SD/SDHC dual card slot
  • Not much change in the form factor over the original EOS R6

In the previous story, it was said that the Canon EOS R6 Mark II would have the same 24MP stacked CMOS as the EOS R3, but it is currently unknown whether this is accurate information. Considering that the current Canon EOS R6 model appeared in 2020, it seems that the successor model is too early, but I’m curious what kind of camera will actually appear. Previously, it was said that a camera like the “EOS R100” would appear…

By the way, in the announcement of the financial results the other day, Canon clearly stated, “By building an even more robust EOS R system lineup, we will strive to expand our market share and maintain high profitability.”

Reminder: You can now save up to $400 on select Canon RF lenses.
