New Firmware Update for Canon EOS R5 Coming in November 2020

It is now confirmed that Canon will be releasing new firmware updates for the Canon EOS R5 in November 2020. While there is no info about upcoming firmware for Canon EOS R6 yet.

New features will come in the upcoming Canon EOS R5 firmware updates:

  • Canon Cinema RAW light addition
  • C-Log 2 and 3
  • 1080p @ 120fps
  • Further tweaking of temperature control
  • Bug fixes
  • Other codecs are being worked on, but may not arrive in time for the November release.
