Canon EOS RP Body w/EG-E1 Extension Grip & Canon Mount Adapter: $1299 at B&HAdoramaAmazon.

I was lucky enough to get my early hands on review of this lovely Canon EOS-RP full frame camera. This is an entry level full frame mirrorless from Canon. And its also the cheapest 4K camera from canon. But cheap does it mean bad? No, not really. What got me interested on is the crop factor of this EOS-RP. This camera has reduced the crop from (1.76x EOS-R) to now 1.6x. Its almost like a Super 35mm Camera. Even thought there are some specs got missing. Such as the Canon Log, Dual Pixel AF disabled in 4K, and no 10Bit colour. But for the price point. I kinda accept that.

I wasn’t able to install the EOS-HD C-Log picture profile on the camera just yet as this is still a pre-production camera. I might do another video in the future.

Pros
– 4K crop slightly improved (1.6x instead of 1.76 on EOS-R)
– Super light weight (Only 485g)
– Lovely 4K Image

Cons
– No dual pixel AF in 4K
– No Canon-Log
– No 10Bit Out
– SD card slot located under the battery
– No 30p, 50p and 60p in 4K
– No 24p in Full HD
– Small Battery (LP-17)
– Only 4K or 720p allowed to switch to APS-C mode
– When using EF-S lens, there is no Full HD options. You can either shoot 4K or 720p only
