Canon EOS R7 Rumored Specifications

Several days ago we reported that Canon is working hard on a new EOS R camera with an APS-C image sensor, which will probably be called “Canon EOS R7“ and is already undergoing testing in the field by a select group of photographers.

The previous rumor said the Canon EOS R7 APS-C format mirrorless camera “looks nearly identical to the EOS R6”, and it is expected to have the very similar specifications as the Canon EOS R6. Now a new source said the Canon EOS R7 will have a 32.5MP APS-C CMOS sensor, DIGIC X Image Processor, 5-Axis IBIS and UHD 4K60p video and more.

Canon EOS R7 Rumored Specifications:

  • 32.5MP APS-C CMOS Sensor
  • DIGIC X Image Processor
  • UHD 4K60p & Full HD 120p Video Recording 10-Bit Internal Video
  • Sensor-Shift 5-Axis Image Stabilization

The source also said the specifications mentioned above are from one of the Canon EOS R7 prototypes. Canon is also working on another two different prototypes: 45MP APS-C CMOS Sensor and 20MP APS-C CMOS Sensor. So, we have to wait to see which camera body will finally get approved for the production line.

In addition, if it turns out to be true, this Canon EOS R7 mirrorless camera will replace the current Canon EOS 7D Mark II DSLR camera. Currently, the Canon EOS 90D sits the top of the APS-C format DSLR cameras.

Some reliable info will leaked online just a few weeks ahead of the official announcement. Just stay tuned with us for more Canon Rumors.
