The new Canon EF 24-70mm f/2.8L IS USM and RF 24-70mm f/2.8L IS USM Lenses are on the way.

According to report from CR, Canon is developing hard on the new EF 24-70mm f/2.8L IS USM lens (image stabilization version) and RF 24-70mm f/2.8L IS USM lens. And there are a lot of internal discussions for Canon whether or not to release the 24-70mm f/2.8L IS USM lens for both RF and EF mounts.

I guess both the Canon EF 24-70mm f/2.8L IS USM lens and RF 24-70mm f/2.8L IS USM lens will be announced sometime in the next 12-18 months.

By the way, the Canon EOS R full frame mirrorless camera is now in stock and shipping in the US.
