Rumor: Canon EOS 90D & EOS 7D Mark III Coming in Early 2018

Canon is expected to announce the Canon EOS 90D and Canon EOS 7D Mark III DSLR cameras in the first half of 2018.

Canon EOS 7D Mark III: The previous rumor said the Canon EOS 7D Mark III DSLR camera will be announced in March 2018, just before the NAB show in April, and it will come with 4K video, a “new generation” of Canon APS-C sensors and C-Log.

Canon EOS 7D Mark III Rumored Specifications:

  • 28MP sensor
  • 4K video
  • More video oriented features
  • Tiltable touchscreen
  • More upscale than the Canon EOS 7D Mark II
  • A higher end feature set when compared to other APS-C DSLRs from Canon
  • A “new generation” of Canon APS-C sensors
  • The same introductory price as the EOS 7D Mark II

Canon EOS 90D: The Canon EOS 90D is expected to be announced in early 2018 before Canon EOS 7D Mark III announcement, probably at CP+ 2018 (March 1-4). The Canon EOS 70D was announced on July 2, 2013. Canon EOS 80D was announced on February 18, 2016. So, I think the CP+ 2018 will be the right place for the Canon EOS 90D announcement.
