Canon EF 24-70mm f/2.8L IS USM Lens in Testing, Will Not Come This Year

The Current Canon EF 24-70mm f/2.8L II USM Lens

The latest rumors around the web suggest the Canon EF 24-70mm f/2.8L IS USM lens is still in testing and it will not come this year! We know Canon is actively working on the new EF 24-70mm f/2.8L lens with Image Stabilization feature and at least two prototypes are already in testing. Other lens manufacturers already have their own 24-70mm IS lenses, so it’s only a matter of time for Canon to unveil the long-waited EF 24-70mm f/2.8L IS USM lens.

This new Canon EF 24-70mm f/2.8L IS USM lens will not replace the current EF 24-70mm f/2.8L II version and it will provide better performance and more expensive than the EF 24-70mm f/2.8L II USM ($200 off now).

$200 off on Canon EF 24-70mm f/2.8L II USM Lens: $1,699 at Amazon, B&H, Adorama.
